akasha

akasha is the author of Love Everything: Poems for submerging in the infinite ocean of love.

He walks between worlds. On any given day, you might find him sitting on his meditation cushion for hours, coaching senior leaders in large companies, or dancing wildly to kirtan music. He is a lover. A poet. A developmental coach and facilitator. Through his work and presence, he helps people cultivate their capacity for deeper awareness and for leading from wholeness.

His coaching and facilitation integrate adult development theory, complexity theory, mindfulness, and belonging-centered practices, enabling leaders to see more clearly, act more intentionally, and hold paradoxes with wisdom. He believes that the most effective leaders are those who lead from wholeness—with an open heart, a grounded presence, and a vision for a better future for everyone.

Rooted in his Caribbean heritage, akasha draws inspiration from nature, family life, and contemplative practices. He finds great pleasure in watching sunrises and sunsets, cycling, being in ceremonies, and reading and writing poetry. He lives in Grenada with his partner, son, and their overly affectionate Boston Terrier dog and chill cat (of unknown breed). akasha deepest wish for you to have a direct experience of our truest nature and purest love.

Love Everything

Poems for submerging in the infinite ocean of love

This book of poems is an accident that was meant to happen. You know, like people who have children unexpectedly. I did not set out to write poems. I am more an accidental poet. And this book is like the site of 144 of those beneficial accidents.

In 2016, three questions arrested my attention and my energy:

Who am I, really?

Why am I here?

Who is...

Praise

Akasha truly brings a gift of love to the world with his collection of poems. One that has resonated with me.. “when I kissed your feet this morning, all the heavens kissed me back. Funny. I never thought that I would find god so low.” What a powerful message. “I never thought I would find god so low.” In this universe we often feel the divine in individual experiences. I feel this in the presence of my wife. And these words hit me so strong. I feel the universe, a divine power, when I’m fully present with her. It’s all that matters in those moments. I hope you will consider buying this and supporting Akasha’s vision to amplify love and to spread love more intentionally throughout this world. Thank you, Akasha, for publishing this book!

Open to any page, let your eyes settle on a verse and feel immersed in something that holds you, something that nudges you to slow down for a moment, a precious silence may visit you in which you might just hear the longing and the joy of your deepest song. This collection lives on my nightstand, nestled in a stack of books that nourish me daily. When I mail it to a friend whose heart is aching, it will hardly need an introduction.

This poetry book is what the world needs more of. Its message of love is expressed in poems that are loving, insightful, whimsical and at times funny. The poet has such an interesting lens through which he sees the world and expresses his love for the divine and all her creations. I can’t recommend it enough! If you love spiritual poets like Rumi and Hafiz, check out this new poet. You will not regret buying this book for the price of a few lattes.
